Intended for use in truck to ground applications, the 36' yard ramps level off makes loading and offloading trailers safer, faster and more efficient by eliminating the sharp change in angle when entering the trailer. Intended for both truck to ground and Dock to ground applications.
Intended for use on loading docks, and steel platforms the 30' yard ramp makes an ideal addition to loading operations requiring forklift access to the ground, or vehicles up into buildings. Intended for Dock to ground applications.
Yard Ramp Features & OptionsSelf Cleaning Grated Steel Ramp Surface For added traction, in rain and snow, the yard ramp incline decking is constructed of all steel grating with serrated teeth on the working plane. Diamond Deck Plate Apron To preserve the appearance and effectiveness of the self cleaning grating, Steel diamond deck plate aprons are installed on each side of the ramp. This protects the grating from warping or laying over when forklifts turn on and off the ramp. 8" High Curbs The ramps structural steel side members rise 8" above the working surface to create curbs high enough to keep forklifts from running off. Additional crash guards and hand rails are available for mounting to the 8" curbs for applications where local codes call for them. 15" Lip Our line of large ramps features a continuous steel superstructure ending in a 15" lip. This design intends for the lip to rest on the rear of the trailer or loading dock whereupon it effectively floats up and down with the trailer ensuring the ramps holds an optimal position throughout the loading/unloading process. For added security securement chains for the ICC bar come standard with all models. Hydraulic Undercarriage The hydraulic undercarriage system offers a shorter set up time over options using legs, in addition to enhanced mobility via 18" solid rubber tires (Pneumatic also available). To raise and lower the ramp simply insert the handle and pump to raise the ramp, then once in position open the release valve to safely lower into position. For added protection from incidental damage the pump is mounted internally. Caster Wheels with Adjustable Legs The caster model yard ramp uses steel legs with Polyurethane Caster wheels in place of the traditional hydraulic undercarriage. Perfect for standard LTL dry van trailers and refer trailers the caster model yard ramp is a dependable loading resource that wont go out of commission due to a faulty hydraulic pump. Not suitable for locations receiving heavy snow fall. Tow Bar and Ramp Clamp Moving a yard ramp has never been easier. For short distances the ramp clamp offers a light weight easy to store method of positioning your yard ramp. While our other option, the tow bar, allows the ramp to be moved greater distance across facilities with the ease of towing a trailer. Yard Ramp Selection GuideApplications for Yard Ramps with 6' Level off The 6' level off on the 36' ramp model is intended for trailer openings and low clearance door ways. By creating a level plane to enter the trailer, the forklift and its load smoothly enter without the risk of striking the trailer with tall pallet loads. Yard Ramp Capacity To ensure your ramp will continue to operate without premature dishing (warping) from stress and heavy loads, we use a simple calculation that takes into consideration the load weight dispersion for four wheeled or three wheeled forklifts. Four wheeled forklifts If you intend to operate the ramp in excess of 8 hours a day the manufacturer recommends increasing to the next available weight capacity. For specialized equipment we recommend calling 1800-741-1258 or submitting a request for information for additional support in your selection. Yard Ramp Width Our commonly stocked widths are 70" and 84" wide, both of these widths are ideal for almost all over the road LTL trailers. If your application is for an open dock, railcar, or loading dock door you may want a wider ramp; in these cases your Yard ramp can be ordered at specified widths.
