Extra Length Dock Bumper Specifications

USES/APPLICATIONS

  • Primarily used in conjunction with dock seals
  • Ideal for sealing in/out heat, cold, bugs, dust and debris
  • Provides continuous protection across face of dock for applications where trucks back in at an angle

Installation

  • Structural mounting angles permit welded installations or provide bolting through steel.
  • Select from four internal anchorage styles to get the best fit for your loading dock

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Resilient rubber material of bumpers shall be sourced from truck tires cut to uniform size pads and punched to receive supporting rods
  • All bumpers compressed under approximately 1,500 lbs of pressure, steel angles secured by steel rods passing through tire sections
  • The anchor leg of the angle extends a minimum of 3" beyond the rubber surface at either end and contains 13/16" anchor bolt holes as required (anchor bolts supplied separately)
  • Galvanized available upon request, surcharges apply

Dock Bumper Specifications - Loading dock equipment.

  1. Furnish and install extra-length laminated rubber dock bumpers as manufactured by Durable Corporation, Model No(s) ________. Resilient rubber material of bumpers shall be rubberized-fabric truck tires cut to uniform size pads either 4 1/2" x 10", 6" x 10", 4 1/2" x 12", or 6" x 12". Pads punched to receive 3/4" supporting rods.
  2. All dock bumpers must be either 4 1/2" or 6" thick (projection from dock), and closed with two 3" x 3" x 1/4" structural angles under approximately 1,500 lbs of pressure. The angles are welded to 3/4" rods at one end and closed with threaded rod and nut at the other end.
  3. The anchor leg of angle extends a minimum of 3" beyond the rubber surface at either end and contains two or three 13/16" anchor bolt holes as required. (Wedge Anchor bolts are supplied separately.)
  4. Hot dipped galvanized offered. (extra charge for galvanized.)

Extra Length Dock Bumper Mounting Inserts

For added stability each Extra Length Dock Bumper includes up to 4 internal mounting angles. Designed to be sandwiched between the rubber plies these angles supply necessary support for one of our heaviest dock bumper lines.

What is the lead time for Extra Length Bumpers?
Generally the lead time for an extra length bumper is 2 weeks.

Is 6" the thickest available?
We can produce any extra length bumper in depths up to 10.5", even 12" deep in some cases.

What is the most popular insert?
Our manufacturer considers the AD-3 to be the standard insert style, however our most commonly selected style is the AD-1. Many customers complain about the top plate posing a tripping hazard, so we commonly find customers selecting the AD-1 over the OEM recommendation.

What is the Warranty for Extra Length Dock Bumpers?
We offer a 1 year warranty on all 4.5" and 6" deep extra length bumpers.
