• How do I install Dock Bumpers?
  Dock Bumpers are incredibly easy to install with a few simple tools. Simply mark your placement holes by holding the bumper against the wall and counter drill the holes for your 3/4" anchor bolts (Note: be sure to drill deep enough that the 4" anchor bolt will not bottom out). Place your bumper back on the wall and mount with your anchor sleeves. • What is the best placement for dock bumpers?
  Most dock bumper installations are best suited to vertical and horizontal coverage of the dock area for complete dock, truck and cargo protection. For example, protection for an 8' bay with a level approach is usually best accomplished with two vertical bumpers b4520-11 and one horizontal bumper of standard length b4510-36.   back to top
  
  
• Most common dock bumper height?
  10" dock bumpers are the most widely used for docks where trucks come in at approximately equal heights or when only standard size trucks are received. For installations on a protruding lintel 6" bumpers are typically used.   back to top
  
  
• Can I use my own shipping account?
  Yes, we will ship on a customers account; we also offer customer pickup from the stocking warehouse. Please note: orders shipping through non LTL carriers may have an additional handling fee of $3.50 per box.  back to top
  
  
• Can I just purchase the rubber material?
  No, unfortunately the laminated rubber plies are not available for individual sale.  back to top
  
  
• Is it possible to repair or disassemble a laminated bumper?
  The laminated bumpers sold through loading dock supply are assembled with over 1,000 pounds of pressure and are not designed to be taken apart and fixed or retrofitted.   back to top
